Robbin Amy Silverberg: Reading Hot Spots in New York City

The Books as Place: Visions of the Built Environment includes artist's books by 25 artists from around the country including nationally known artists such as Inge Bruggeman, Sarah Bryant, Clifton Meador, Barb Tetenbaum. Karen Kunc and Robbin Ami Silverberg. The books investigate ideas about the built environment in myriad ways through text, image, structure and materials while addressing a wide range of issues from the personal to the political. The diversity of the work highlights the sculptural possibilities of the book form, with pieces offering the reading experiences that go far beyond the traditional idea of what a book can be.
