Calling all typewriter fans! Grab your typewriter or borrow on from a friend and bring it to the first ever Typewriter Jam at San Francisco Center for the Book. This isn't a presentation; it's just a casual evening of typewriter appreciation, typewriting fun, and making new friends.

Typewriter Jam activities include:

  • Typewriter Times Races (with prizes!)
  • Typing Letters, Postcards & Notecards
  • "History of the Typewriter" information
  • Typewriter display
  • Books about typewriters
  • Postcard, Paper & Envelope Swap
  • Light refreshments
  • Pre-printed labels will be provied; choose one to let people know if your typewriter is available to "Type On Me" or for "Show & Tell Only".
