Symposium: "Illuminations: Poets, Artists, and the Book"

Legion of Honor, Gunn Theater

100 34th Ave, San Francisco, CA 94121

The 2017 Reva and David Logan Symposium on the Artist's Book.

An explosion of collaborative works by major poets and artists in the early twentieth century gave birth to the artist’s book as a recognized genre in modern and contemporary art. To what extent does the spirit of collaboration survive? Join scholars, publishers, poets, and artists for an inspired discussion of how collaborative and cross-genre expression finds form and acquires an audience.
