The 40th Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Conference will gather in the same location after five year, St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa provides the reason why we celebrate coming together as a community. St. Ambrose University (SAU) was the home of Father Edward Catich (1906-1979), whose seminal book The Origin of the Serif has influenced countless lettering artists.
