54th HBC Annual Members’ Exhibition

September 12 to December 26 2026 at The American Bookbinders Museum

The 54th Annual Member’s Exhibition will be held this year at The American Bookbinders Museum in San Francisco. The exhibition will open on September 12 and run through December 26, 2026

Eligibility & Submission Guidelines

• Entry Limit: You may enter up to two (2) objects for a single registration fee.

• Eligible Work: Submissions are open to all current members; books, boxes, or broadsides are eligible.

• Date of Creation: All submitted work must have been completed within the past two (2) years.

• Prior Exhibitions: Work previously entered in any past HBC exhibition is not eligible.

• Size Restrictions: Artwork must not exceed 15 inches in any direction when closed.

• HBC reserves the right to decline any submission that cannot be safely accommodated or does not meet the overall guidelines of the exhibition.

Important Dates:

May 25 - June 10, 2026

Complete Intent to Enter form & make payment

July 5 - 16, 2026

Submit entry form(s)

July 17 - 23, 2026

Deliver books for exhibition (Instructions will be sent to registered participants)

SEPT 19, 2026

Opening Reception from 5:00 – 7:00 PM
