The designs are cut into Morgan Conservatory abaca and cotton endpapers mimic some of the copperplate etchings.

The combination of different blue leathers reflect those in the illustrations. The design is inspired by the interplay of the dancing figures in the drawings and the words of the poems.

Heavy and light, playful and serious, colorful yet subtle, this moving structure, born of the rainbow flag, was inspired by Virginia Woolf’s poetic description of gender fluidity as a “vacillation from one sex to the other” that exists in every human being.

Coptic variant, covered in amate bark paper stamped with gold, silver and bronze paint. Covers with a vine of California poppies created out of marbled Momi paper. Butterfly shapes, made of Pride Flag fabric stenciled in bronze, silver, and gold paint and backed with muslin, were cut out and glued on the covers and throughout the book. The text has been calligraphed in colored pencil.
