RAINBOW PRIDE FLAG PROJECT
As a cultural organization, HBC was given an impressive 30- by 20-foot Pride flag that was recently retired from San Francisco’s vibrant Castro neighborhood. We're thrilled to announce an opportunity for everyone to get creative with this iconic flag and invite you to join us in this worthwhile endeavor!
Refreshed for the opening of the Castro Street Fair, this flag first flew on the day Dianne Feinstein passed away. As a result, it holds a special historical meaning for many.
We're eagerly anticipating the diverse and innovative ways our members will utilize the flag in their projects. Whether it's incorporated into a book, book cover, box, or any other book arts-related project, the possibilities are endless! The artwork created will be showcased in our 2025 annual exhibition, running from late May to mid-August.
You’ll need to sign up by August 18th 2024.
After the signup deadline, we’ll apportion the flag among the participating members and mail your share to the address you supply.
Completed projects are due by March 30, 2025
Ready to get involved? Let's make magic with this flag!
