Featuring “Lowlands Away” Bookbinders

Wednesday, November 16, 2022

HBC’s 50th Anniversary Exhibition includes 17 beautifully bound copies of the set book Lowlands Away.

Lowlands Away, from the Old School Press, consists of a series of poems by British poet and artist Adrian Henri that tell the story of a barge lost at sea and a message in a bottle.  It is illustrated with eight pastel drawings by the author, reproduced by four-color litho. The text was printed on a Western proofing press in 14pt Monotype Gill Sans on Rivoli paper.
